One important mate has been the Behringer CAT.
It's a "clone" of the Octave CAT SRM II with some of its design flaws, and some other added...
The one i'd like to discuss here is the LFO modulation ramping up on each note trig.
It's that Behringer put an envelope to modulate the amount of LFO to modulate parameters, but the real problem about this is that the 0 time don't work.
That means no parameter modulation possible on fast triggered notes, and for example, PWM on oscillator 1 being interrupted.<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZFtvXDjFK_dru62jkDpHVX1N7deUhmvnY37oynmTGoLT07tFqTfOqSgN3fsr2mfuefUHYTtoDwUcONvR4eH1VHP0LEKUBW4Oj7kukWLr7EVpyjD7egpfem1IcN-yb8_qo0nzvC2Zc9_6rEA59_JfVaS4xd8Yedu06yrWW1r9XY5NMT3sqXvGkHa_o_zqH/s4000/20230718_170426.jpg" style="display: block; padding: 1em 0px; text-align: center;"></a><p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiImSxKnNXCkXNrIOgeu4E7vd2fEqzs4-ld4-0TcAbyLHOg8eXggX4vgRy4rNgkJT9xbBHLtO2EZirBJ9s-alioCM1PRg2M1N5me9L6fYc0daMe7ZIhBfZCQSMcJEusr1NNd1cOLmchsjUPl4TFPvic9C8sdhnLQeJS_1xZpHk7YTtMBKZjvp8LaM_DV4hE/s4000/16896948700534964149753305696826.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="CAT plate" border="0" data-original-height="4000" data-original-width="1800" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiImSxKnNXCkXNrIOgeu4E7vd2fEqzs4-ld4-0TcAbyLHOg8eXggX4vgRy4rNgkJT9xbBHLtO2EZirBJ9s-alioCM1PRg2M1N5me9L6fYc0daMe7ZIhBfZCQSMcJEusr1NNd1cOLmchsjUPl4TFPvic9C8sdhnLQeJS_1xZpHk7YTtMBKZjvp8LaM_DV4hE/w180-h400/16896948700534964149753305696826.jpg" width="180" /></a><img alt="CAT LFO ramp chips" border="0" data-original-height="4000" data-original-width="2250" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjaftnT_YgwaJSzlgX4ZSDtUnCnsPJOD7RaCkrXHtYqKTCMUMPm_eTceR9d0-UQvzN6BShF-KdrZYbhaZdwbPvsfq_bVXsIyA4NN56DPa5Wu4jUwS4_zEOxvaz6kDfvq2bfXREzJnU4WufAZm1TB9MIVdatIp1o4Fg40qKz57jqK9ZbGwl74oG9spCrrUN7/w225-h400/20230718_170349.jpg" width="225" /> <img alt="" border="0" data-original-height="4000" data-original-width="1800" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZFtvXDjFK_dru62jkDpHVX1N7deUhmvnY37oynmTGoLT07tFqTfOqSgN3fsr2mfuefUHYTtoDwUcONvR4eH1VHP0LEKUBW4Oj7kukWLr7EVpyjD7egpfem1IcN-yb8_qo0nzvC2Zc9_6rEA59_JfVaS4xd8Yedu06yrWW1r9XY5NMT3sqXvGkHa_o_zqH/w180-h400/20230718_170426.jpg" width="180" /> </p><p>The problem about this is that it seems not possible to be fixed by software.</p><p>Another issue is the Oscillator SynC that although it was emulating the SRMII behaviour, creates audible interruptions in the synchronized oscillator in both A or B modes.</p><p>Of course, the sound is great and it has a very powerful oscillator/modulation specs, but it's a pitty to see an unfinished hardware. SynC Modular recompiles and optimizes its code each time a parameters is modifies (that coul be bypassed by setting the fast update param in each container). Its low resources requirements allows to create graet ensembles while keeping the CPU low, altough its complexity can be increased to the limits of our imagination.</span></span></span><br />

<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="color: #f1c232;">Well, maybe you'll need some example ensembles to inspire, and here they are. This is a collection, selection a cleanup of everything I've found over the net. Clasified, but a bit outdated. There's still people using these WinX86 application to create sounds. Runs smoothly on Win64 and includes a freeware license and an VST2.1 plugin adapter to run the ensembles from any DAW of your choice.<br />

Studio One is a coomn DAW nowadays, it's adapted to almost all Studio Musician needs and does it from an easy point of view. I'm still stuck in v2.6, but the last V3 has added some features that makes Studio One a serious fighter in the DAW circus. But there's also black holes in it. There's a lack of specs of the way anyone can create and integrate (with a lot of effort) any control surface to do coommon tasks easily or control plugin or mixer parameters that are no available from the basic "Add Controller" menu.
Anyways, there's a lot of documentation on the net. HEre's a point to a spanish page I've posted adding some information about it that i've found here & there.

Takes advantage of its modulation capabilities segmented in.
<br>
<br>A - Amplitude
<br>P - Pitch
<br>B - Stereo balance.
<br>
<br>Too few preset programmed, but they sound different compared to any other MVX stuff thanks to the added layers that provide extra timbres that can be dynamically modulated with each of its 3 LFO & 3 ADSR.
<br>It is not intended to create just typical additive stuff like Drawbars or typical organs. The modulated parameters gives a chance to create unique sounds to leave behind the limitations of the subtractive synthesis.
Of course, you'll need Synthedit 1.0+ to be installed in your system to see it's bizarre GUI, but its low memory requirements (less than 30MB) won't eat your resources. CPU usage is also small for nowadays systems as it was initially developed in a Core 2 Duo CPU. <br>
The last weeks of 2020 I've been doing some work with this "little" one, so i'll be uploading some presets to the KVRAudio site.

Very flexible and capable, altough everything is basic, an interesting showcase of Synthedit audio capabilities.<br />Although it was my first 3Osc, it was the 8th plugin I created, as I started with 4 oscillators engines. </span><br /><br /><b><a href="http://mvxsynths.googlepages.com/mv3.zip">Download</a></b></span>El Costillerohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14895221468294157135noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1572824123013566442.post-12431120251240312582017-03-13T22:09:00.003+01:002017-03-14T00:06:50.800+01:00MVF, basic analog lead<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="color: #f1c232;">A simple Synth with simple structure: 2 Oscillators (Sync & FM), 2 envelopes and a 4-pole filter. Leads, and simple pads can be easily achieved without much tweaking.Some people told about its similarity to Nord Lead, but of course this design is much more simple and relies on the basic Synthedit Oscillators with no more than its basic waveforms.</span></span><span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /><a href="http://mvxsynths.googlepages.com/mvf.zip">Download MVF</a></span>El Costillerohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14895221468294157135noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1572824123013566442.post-37041232688640189122017-03-13T21:38:00.003+01:002017-03-14T00:12:43.360+01:00MVb, the basic bassline<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="color: #f1c232;"><span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">This is <span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">a</span> basic monophonic bassline switchable to polyphonic. Easy to work and with up to 6pole SVF multimode filters. One of the most basic plugins created, inspirated by basic basslines. Just a cut down version of the MVF.</span></span></span><span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="color: #f1c232;"><br /><br /><a href="http://mvxsynths.googlepages.com/mvb.zip">Download MVb</a></span></span></span>El Costillerohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14895221468294157135noreply@blogger.com0
